Rosemary Heights Condo
Situated in South Surrey, Rosemary Heights Condo aimed to install EV chargers to take advantage of BC Hydro rebates. They sought a cost-effective solution to make their building fully prepared for electric vehicles without the need for expensive infrastructure upgrades.
While the Strata had had a Ready Plan completed by another service provider, the cost was too high to pass a strata vote. The strata board came to Relight looking for a more cost-effective proposal for getting their building 100% EV Ready, within the parameters of the provided Ready Plan.
Relight was able to leverage its position as a reseller of Enel X Way JuiceBox EV Chargers to provide a cost-effective solution using Load Sharing. With our excellent customer service, willingness to engage and answer the clients questions, and our cost-effective proposal, it was an easy decision for the strata board to proceed with Relight.
After reviewing the provided Ready Plan, Relight visited site to gather specific information and find the most efficient way to make the building EV Ready. We found that the existing House Panel had enough capacity to power chargers for all the owners, and that no new EV Panel would be required. Based on the driving habits of owners, we determined that dedicated circuits for every owner were not required, and that the use of Load Sharing would allow the installation to be completed for a fraction of the cost.
Relight Solutions developed a tailored solution to address the challenges faced by Rosemary Heights:
Installation of 12 Circuits: Our team installed 37 outlets on 12 circuits to provide EV charging for every unit in the building.
20 Level 2 EV Chargers (32A): We supplied and installed 20 Enel X JuiceBox EV chargers and configured the EV Energy Management System, making fast and safe EV charging available to owners.
WiFi Network Setup: We established a robust WiFi network throughout the parkade to facilitate reliable communication between the EV chargers, management systems, and users, enabling remote monitoring and control.
